Review: Spektrum XL

Oi!

Last Friday it was party time at Patronaat, Haarlem. Another edition of Spektrum XL with Ed Rush, Joker and Sektor. With some expectations we drove to Haarlem. The evening started with some good dubstep followed with the Drum N Bass from Resident DJ's Sektor. They got the crowd warmed up. Then Joker came, he was the one we came for so we hoped our expectations would be confirmed. unfortunately his set was a bit slow for our taste. We hoped for the massive dubstep wobbles but what we got was a more chiller set. It was very good though. So last chance to make our evening was Ed Rush. And different from the two acts for him he started with madness and he ended with madness. The crowd got excited with some moshpits in it. The conclusion we can make out of it was that  we had a pretty good party but not with all the madness we hoped for.
Next party we will attend will be Dikke Dubstep with Bong-ra and Brass Nuckles

I know, it has been a while ago that Boys Noize Records released it's 50th EP, but we have something special to include. First some info, to celebrate this fact, Boys Noize himself released an EP containing two tracks, Yeah and 1010. The 1010 track isn't my favourite, it's a bit dull. Yeah, on the other hand, is a brilliant compost track, it really give me a good vibe, the best song made by Boys Noize.

Mightyfools!

The Mightyfools are back with an upcoming EP! It's another EP on the lektroluv label and will be released on the 18th of October. Since the Amsterdam Dance Event starts in the same week, there will be a release party with the Mighyfools and friends on the 20th of October. So if you attend at ADE, make sure to come to this release party.
Well we can give you the preview of Mightyfools upcoming EP, although it's a soundcloud and contains some annoying "previews". DJ Antention Remix Contest: Update

Couple of weeks ago we posted about the remix contest of DJ Antentions Rapid Fire. The winner will receive a WESC headphone of the winners choice, up to $400, some clothing of 2BOP. But more important, the remix will be released on Antentions first EP, Rapid Fire, also the first EP on the new label Tuff Em Up records. Because the contest is halfway through, ends 10th of November, I'll share the best remixes to date. Two of the best remixes are from F.O.O.L. and Noize Generation, but we already posted them. Novus Ordo Seclorum

We posted about them a while ago but they got some new stuff. we're talking about Corpus de Textes. They released a new e.p. called Novus Ordo Seclorum. News from the Italian duo Belzebass! They just released an EP called Il Maiale, pork meat, and it contains three bangers. You may have heard them already in some previous mixtapes, but we have the tracks as full downloads now. OMGITM With Haezer

The newest OMGITM Supermix is there and after the last with Cyberpunkers i figured which one can do a better job. And they found one. It's South African Haezer. Haezer is just crazy raw beats and that's what counts for OMGITM. He used a lot of his own songs plus some major sounds. It got me going out of my mind so enjoy!

F.O.O.L. isn't French

Their sound is French, but they sure aren't from France, F.O.O.L. is from Sweden and getting big lately. Today they have released their new EP called We're not French, and damn, this is EP is sick.  Besides the original the EP contains tons of remixes from names like, Haezer, Drivepilot, Trashing Teenagers, The Noise Freaks, Owl Vision, the Mastertrons and the Boomzers. Like I said, the EP has been released today, and you can download the whole EP at beatport!

News from Moscow's finest, Polymorphic has released a new EP! The EP was released yesterday under the Coco Machete Records and contains the banger Apocalypse. This heavy track is also remix by Noise Invaders and Marseille, who already did a remix for Polymorphics Rock On. I think Noise Invaders did are sick job, therefore we will give this track away. Let me introduce to you all a Spanish producer called Kaze. This former HipHop producer recently changed his style into some heavy bass electro and i'm glad he did it. He's a bit like the Mastertrons, a hard style and changing big tracks in even sicker bangers. Besides producing for his own sake he also started a new project called Void Camp, which is a band who combines electro with rock/metal music and will release an EP called Waking Life in November under the ShakeYourAssRecords!

Lektroluv Recordings is on a move the last weeks, after giving you the preview of sound of stereo's Helium last week this time it's a preview of Highbloo's new e.p. called Fakirology. The Belgian scene is pretty good with some big players like Dr. Lektroluv and Soulwax but there are some new ones one the radar. One of them is Highbloo. He made a major remix of Pope of Dope and has performed at several festivals last season. So he will be one of the new big ones from Belgium. This e.p. will make sure of that. We start with Excision this man well known for his Rottun Recordings and EX7. His style of dubstep is the most dirtiest and darkest one. This mixtape is no different. It's 80 minutes of filthiness.
