The list, in a random order.
-One of the hardest tracks made this year, Corporate Occult. Finnish DJ Huoratron with his grindcore like taste of music shocked us all with the New Judas EP. When a track like Corporate Occult is dropped on the dancefloor, it will only create one thing, pure chaos.
- Making Standing on the shore into a classic track is a real achievement. Dirty Disco Youth did it, and how, starting with the brilliant guitar riff which makes it the most relaxing summer evening track of 2009. Then after the lyrics, the beat kicks in and it turns into a Saturday night killer. One of the best remixes of this year.
- After releasing Warp 1.9 in April of this year, we all thought, could this get any better? Then in October at I Love Techno the answer came: it could. When we heard the beginning of Warp 1977 in the Bloody Beetroots set we were all stunned for a moment, but after the 1, 2, 3, MOTHAFUCKA, all hell broke loose. With the release of Xmas Vendetta the Bloody Beetroots sets the standard even higher. Warp 1977 intro is bawesome; Steve Aoki's raw voice and Sir Bob Rifo sick tunes just makes it better.
- After Hold The Line, Major Lazer A.K.A. Diplo and Switch produced a new Major track called Pon De Floor. This on its own is already booty shaking material, but the Chewy Chocolate Cookies fired it up with a A-team tune and a some extra bass.
-The original was mind blowing, Steve Aoki's remix was even better. N.A.S.A.'s Gifted brought countless genres of music together, Kanye West's rap, Santigolds raw sound, the sweet voice of Lykki Li and the beats made by N.A.S.A. Combined with Steve Aoki's electronic taste of music one of the best racks of 2009 was created.
-We were wondering if there was coming some good music from Russia and this was the answer! Polymorphic made us go wild, this song just says what his music stands for. when you're at a party you must Rock On. Beside this song i have to give his remix of Who Are You? some credits. that song was awesome too.
- The hideous janitor-white-mask-wearing-Frenchman has been in the game for ages. And now he's dead.... But actually he's not, so the Cyberpunkers decided to remix the sheit out of his record Toxic Is Dead.
- And from the Dubstep corner... we have Udachi. An Americano, from NY, NY.
This song got some edgy tune in it that i cannot get out of my head. Every time i listen to it the sounds stays in my head for like 2 or 3 days. And well Dubstep? I think it is just orchestrated chaos.
- When this track hit the clubs, all the way back at the start of this year, it hit them all! At all the good gigs anyways. The crazy woman's voice with her 'I'm miss independent'-lyrics gave the song its own character. But the best thing about it is that its about 'shoes' and it got a groovy tune to move your funky shoes own to go with it. During this track our shoes barely stayed on our feet!
- We agreed on putting 10 songs in this list. So 'officially INVADERS MUST DIE is in this list. But of course what we actually mean is the whole freaking album. These old timers were quiet for a while but then came back with a bang. This certainly is an OMEN: the're gonna bring some THUNDER to to our WARRIOR's DANCE on. And after which they can TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL. These are big words, but their all fantastic ear-p*rn material! Here are the best songs remixed:
The Prodigy - Thunder (Bang Gang Remix)
The Prodigy - Warrior's dance (South Central Remix)
The Prodigy - Invaders must die (Original)
The Prodigy - Take me to the hospital (Rusko Remix)
